Peer review has been a learning experience for me since my only other exposure to it has been in high school where no one took it seriously. I have since developed an understanding of what is important to note when reviewing a peers reading and how to properly communicate with peers so that they can make productive revisions to their papers. In my chosen example I start by addressing the overall organization which is the most important thing for a peer reviewer to comment on. Since my peer’s first draft already had a solid organizational structure I complemented her on it and moved on to commenting on her content. I brought up how she briefly connected her argument to her major which is nursing and gave her the advice that she should add more material about nursing since the parts where she discussed nursing were really good and she also needed more words to reach word count. I than commented on a few minor transitional errors and a section in one of her arguments which I believed was brushed aside to quickly. I ended by reminding her to revisit her thesis after making her edits to keep it in line with her arguments.
